ICAV, GALA CONCERT
Geneviève Després nous a donné un Mahler évoquant l'unique Ferrier et la Forrester des grands jours, un Mahler qui partait du texte, parfaitement compris et senti, et livré dans une belle variété de couleurs et de dynamiques et une vibrante accentuation des mots importants. Son pianiste, Burkhard Kehring, a une grande part dans l'immense impression laissée par cette prestation.

Carmen
…The star of the show was of course Carmen herself, sung by Genevieve Couillard Després. She is a singer who is totally comfortable with herself and with the role. She was earthy, sensuous, feisty – she looked the part and acted the part – Genevieve was Carmen. She has the perfect voice for the part, strong high notes and more importantly, a rich and powerful low register.
